Each day, the children in our center will engage in creative play in a number of different ways, from dramatic play to puzzles to discovery tables. The children’s daily schedule is flexible enough to provide predictability for the children. We want them to view the Center as a safe and comforting place, where they know what to expect and when to expect it.
Research has shown that children stay healthier when they have daily outdoor play. We play outside whenever the weather permits. There are two large outdoor play areas to provide a variety of play activities for the children. When weather conditions do not encourage outdoor play, we have indoor play areas for gross motor activities.

In addition to the regular classroom activities, students also participate in weekly music sessions, which consists of a combination of musical movement, rhythm and singing, and education about various musical instruments. They also have regular flannel board story time. Periodically, the children go on field trips or other school wide events. Last year, activities included a petting zoo, a magician, a puppeteer, a tour of a local fruit farm, and a picnic at the duck pond.
